Local Government Reorganization Links
In 2007 the government asked the Boundary Committee to recommend a new structure of local government to replace the existing County and District Councils. In February 2010 the government ignored two years of consultation and recommended that Norwich City becomes a unitary authority on its existing boundaries. Other district councils in Norfolk will remain unchanged. LM PC think that this decision will not lead to improved services for people in Norwich or the rest of Norfolk and that the consultation process has wasted a lot of money and effort.
- Norfolk County Council are challenging the government's decision.
