Road Closures 2018 08

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting
the B1108 Watton Road from its junction with the A47 for a distance
of 259 metres eastwards in the PARISH OF COLNEY because of surfacing
works. The road will be temporarily closed (except for access)
from 10th September 2018 to 14th September 2018 between the
hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for the duration of the works,
expected to be 5 nights within the period. Alternative routes are
via: B1108 Watton Road/ Norwich Road/ Station Road, B1135 Wymondham
Road/ Crownthorpe Road/ Chapel Lane/ Tuttles Lane West/ Tuttles Lane
East, A11, A47 or A47, A11, A140, B1108 and vice versa (Wymondham,
Little Melton, Colney, Great Melton, Hethersett, Cringleford,
Wicklewood, Ketteringham, Kimberley, Wramplingham, Barford,
Bawburgh).
Burnthouse Lane will be closed in both directions
between 25/07 and 29/08. This means that all the
Business Park traffic will be coming through Little Melton!

The Watton Rd will be closed in both directions between 06/08
and 24/08, this will be followed by overnight closures at the
roundabout to repair the damaged surface up to the Green Lane

It is unfortunate that these two closures overlap and it is
likely that they will result in problems on Braymeadow and Green
Lane. The work is being done in the school holidays when
traffic levels are much reduced. The PC has requested that the
